1. What does NNTRC do?
NNTRC regulates telecommunication activities - telephone, cellular, satellite, internet, two-way radio, etc. - on the Navajo Nation.
2. What does NNTRC stand for?
The Navajo Nation Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.
3. Where is NNTRC located?
NNTRC is located between the Staff Development and Training Center Office and the Child Support Enforcement Office - Fort Defiance Agency on Morgan Boulevard in Window Rock, Arizona.
4. Who appoints the Commissioners?
The Navajo Nation President appoints the commissioners through staggered terms and they are then confirmed by the Government Services Committee of the Navajo Nation Council.
5. Who is the NNTRC?
The NNTRC consists of two (2) staff, the Executive Director who is appointed by the Navajo Nation President and one (1) permanent staff. Also, seven (7) Commissioners, who meet once a month.
